Sonia Garcia Garcia is a PhD graduate in International Studies from the University of Technology, Sydney. Her doctoral research explored regulatory pathways to bridge the disconnection in Australia between the pursuit of sustainability objectives in the harvest and in the post-harvest space. Her research interests lie in the potential of seafood labelling and traceability to increase the transparency of seafood value chains; in the role of meaning-making processes in policy change; and in the methodological contributions of qualitative social research to the study of ocean governance.
