I am a PhD student in Marine Affairs at the University of Rhode Island where my research is focusing on the gendered dimensions of climate-induced displacement and coastal adaptation in Keta, Ghana. My work explores how power, voice and vulnerability are shaped within communities, particularly for women who are often at the frontline of both climate impacts and recovery. I am drawing from African feminist thoughts and intersectionality to critically examine how state-led relocation and marine conservation policies can reinforce or disrupt existing inequalities. Eventually, I hope to build a career that bridges policy and academic research, focusing on climate resilience, marine conservation and gender equity in coastal regions.

Outside of research, I love reading novels (especially sci-fis), sitting at the beach looking into the ethers and going on hikes.
