Richard Okelola is a senior at University of Rhode Island studying Wildlife Conservation and Biology. Their academic interests include Zoology, Mammalogy, Marine Biology, and Ecology. As an Ocean Nexus Fellow, they were working on Ocean Governance Capacity with Professor Yoshitaka Ota. Outside of academics, Richard is involved in B.O.N.D (Brothers On A New Direction) and Seed of Success.
