Dr. Megan Bailey is an Associate Professor and Canada Research Chair in Integrated Ocean and Coastal Governance at Dalhousie University. Her work focuses on equity in fisheries governance, with specific attention given to allocation, access, fishing rights, and transboundary tuna. She is a co-editor of two books, Food Secure Futures: Multidisciplinary Solutions (with Jessica Duncan, Routledge) and Sea Change: Charting a Sustainable Future for Oceans in Canada (with Rashid Sumaila, Derek Armitage, and William Cheung, UBC Press). In 2023, Megan was awarded the innaugural Anne Marie Ryan Community Growth Award for outstanding dedication to community inside and outside of Dalhousie University. Megan enjoys gardening, cooking, reading, hiking and swimming. She has two boys and two dogs and lives just outsdie of Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Megan has a big veggie garden and loves growing and cooking food and feeding delicious foods to her family and friends. She loves reading, hiking, swimming, wine, laughing, and exploring. Usually she also loves her work.
