Kerrie Robertson is an adviser to the Secretary for Marine Resources within the Cook Islands Government. She has over 15 years of experience in public policy within the Australian Government, and has also consulted to the Australian National Centre for Ocean Resources and Security (ANCORS) and the Pacific Community. Kerrie has represented national governments at regional and international levels, including at the United Nations, for over a decade. Her professional focus is on strategy and negotiation in international fisheries management, and building capacity across the Indo-Pacific to support good public policy and deliver benefits at the national level. Kerrie holds a masters degree in fisheries policy, as well as a masters degree in international law focussed on maritime and the marine environment. She is currently undertaking a PhD at ANCORS focused on equity in transboundary fisheries. Kerrie comes from Canberra, Australia but is currently based in Rarotonga, Cook Islands.
