Katie Shelledy earned her masters degree in Marine Affairs at University of Washington in 2021. She has an undergraduate degree in Biology from Juniata College (grad. 2017). With the Nexus research group, Katie worked on two projects: 1) her masters thesis with Yoshi Ota on Covid-19 as a risk factor in tropical cyclone management and 2) a literature review with Kate Crosman on the use of ‘equity’ and ‘justice’ in papers about marine planning and governance.
Katie likes reading, running, hiking, listening to music and singing along!
