Kwe, Telusin Jade Robinson, telaywi Sipeknekatik, Mi’kmak’i / Hi, my name is Jade Robinson, and I am from Sipeknekatik First Nation, located on the unceded territory of Mi’kmaw in the province of Nova Scotia, Canada.
I am a first-year Master’s of Marine Management student at Dalhousie University with an interest in ocean governance, policy, and law that reflect Indigenous rights and sovereignty, equitable fisheries management and food fisheries, and marine conservation and climate adaptation through the integration of Indigenous and traditional knowledge.
I spend most of my time between school and raising three wonderful children with my husband. My favourite time of year is the summer, when I try to spend most of my time outdoors hiking, swimming, or working in the yard with my family.
