Ivana Suradja

Ivana Suradja is a second year Master’s student at the School of Marine and Environmental Affairs at the University of Washington, Seattle. Throughout her undergraduate studies, Ivana participated in a number of research and conservation projects including studying the impacts of ocean acidification on marine calcifying organisms as well as leadership and coordination in long-finned pilot whales. After graduation, Ivana worked for several conservation NGOs in Raja Ampat and Jakarta in her home country of Indonesia, focusing on awareness raising and fundraising. She is excited to learn more about community involvement in science and conservation, conservation education, as well as sustainable marine tourism at SMEA.
Ivana likes movies, soccer, and learning languages.
