Ouma Elvine Tina is a feminist investigative journalist whose reporting interrogates how emerging technologies, environmental change, political power, and public policy reshape the lives of women and historically marginalised communities across Africa.

Elvine believes that stories influence the way we understand ourselves, as nations and as people; therefore, her journalism combines investigative reporting with long-form narrative journalism to uncover the human consequences of systems often hidden from public view. Her work has been published by Mongabay, Women’s Media Centre, Minority Africa, AWiM News, The Standard newspaper, The STAR newspaper, The Elephant, Potentash Africa, and Big3Africa.

Elvine’s reporting has been supported by competitive international fellowships and reporting grants, including the 2026 Mongabay Y. Eva Tan Environmental Reporting Fellowship and Gender+AI Reporting Fellowship.
