Crystal Chow is an award-winning independent bilingual journalist from Hong Kong, primarily covering climate change, global health, and culture across Asia and beyond. From indigenous resistance against mega-dam projects in Malaysian Borneo and transnational abalone smuggling in South Africa, to grassroots food security initiatives for Hong Kong’s urban poor and the overlooked cultural and ecological lives of Philippine shipworms, her work features deeply reported, human-interest narratives at the intersection of science and social justice. Her work has been supported by Africa-China Reporting Project, Earth Journalism Network, Pulitzer Center, National Press Foundation, and others. Crystal holds an MSc in Global Energy and Climate Policy from SOAS, University of London.
