Research Fellow
Dalhousie University
Colin Thackray is a scientist investigating the accumulation of toxic pollutants such as mercury (Hg), polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) and per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in marine ecosystems. He develops numerical models of varying complexity to investigate pollutant fate and accumulation in marine food webs and humans, with a particular interest in the treatment of uncertainty. Colin completed his PhD at MIT in 2016 (Earth, Atmospheric, and Planetary Sciences), after an MSc at Dalhousie (Physics & Atmospheric Science), and BSc at Memorial (Physics). He spends his free time running and enabling runners.
