Bryan Woodward (he/him) recently graduated with a Master of Arts from the University of Victoria’s Department of Environmental Studies, where he undertook a qualitative community-based research project investigating how social media platforms are utilized to discuss and address key food security topics within the Inuvialuit Settlement Region of the Northwest Territories. Prior to his graduate studies, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Geography – Environment and Sustainability from the University of British Columbia. During his undergraduate studies, he diversified his academic background with minors in Psychology and Urban Planning, providing him with a unique multidisciplinary perspective on human-environment interactions. His professional and academic interests are broad, including Indigenous well-being, sustainable development, equitable climate adaptation and mitigation, and the challenges facing northern food systems. He is driven by a commitment to the creation of resilient, equitable systems that support the well-being of both people and the planet. In his spare time, he enjoys playing soccer, skiing, exploring beaches and watching sunsets.
