Dr. Araba Sey is a Principal Research Scientist at the University of Washington Information School, and Deputy Director of Research ICT Africa. Her research aims to understand the factors that underlie different types of digital inequality and explore ways to foster social diversity and inclusion. She has managed international research projects on the impacts of computers, mobile technologies, and internet access in multi-national contexts, including social and economic impacts of public access computing; technology entrepreneurship and livelihood sustainability; gender digital equality; information disorder in Africa; and participatory approaches to engaging communities in evidence-based decision-making.
