Abigael Kim is an award-winning social scientist, storyteller, and writer based in Nova Scotia, Canada, where her work explores the realities, resilience, and culture of communities at the forefront of the climate emergency. Known for her creative communication style and unique ability to weave together rigorous science and authentic stories, she’s a strong believer in the power of digestible and accessible science and is on a mission to carve out space in academia, industry, and policy for local voices to drive global change. With a BSc. in Environmental Science (University of Guelph) and a Master of Marine Management (Dalhousie University), her work has taken her around the world, gracing international publications, policies, and news outlets. More recently, her interests lie in investigating the gendered impacts of climate change on women working in blue economies.
