Leopoldo Cavaleri Gerhardinger, Ph.D. is a Socioecologist and Oceanographer specializing in the intersection of Education, Communication, and Networked-Action for the transformation of coastal-marine and rainforest social-ecological systems in Brazil. As an Adjunct Researcher at the National Institute of the Atlantic Forest (INMA, Brazil), under the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation, he leads a research group on transdisciplinary sustainability research. Dr. Gerhardinger actively collaborates with NGOs, national and international organizations, and philanthropic initiatives, bridging the gap between science, policy, and society to promote inclusive and transformative ocean and coastal governance.
